Supervisor / Process Technician for Injection Molding Candidate must have good people skills and management abilities. He, or She should be able to think ahead and be prepared for changes that will affect His, or Her shift and efficiencies. We are searching for an individual who is self starting, has personal goals, and a vision to help the company reach its goals. The above foundational aspects must be inherent and consistent. Other Requirements: Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in injection molding, or be in an injection molding college level program. Business and supervisor experience, or again, college level training in business and supervision is also required for this position. This individual must have the tools of the trade to perform mold changes, routine maintenance, and repair to the machinery used in the injection molding industry. In special circumstances, i.e., college interns for instance, we may provide monies for tools with a payroll deduction that is agreeable to both parties. Candidate will be responsible for properly supervising, training, and leading His, or Her shift and following all company policies, procedures, and protocols. Proper documentation must be consistently created for technical specifications along with evaluations and disciplinary actions related to His or Her shift employees. Candidate must have a technical background in Thermoplastic Injection Molding specifically, and understand how the process works, how to troubleshoot the process, and preferably how to improve the process. Polymer Science knowledge is a plus, but not required for this position. Candidate must also be familiar with all of the auxiliary equipment associated with the molding operation, i.e., grinders, dryers, hopper loaders, chillers, mold temperature controllers, hydraulics, pneumatics and electronics. Understanding injection molds and how they should be designed is also critical to the plastic molding process. This individual must also be committed to quality in both product and attitude in order to succeed in our organization. You will be working closely with quality assurance, the toolroom, and management to achieve maximum efficiency in all areas, and be a willing supporter and contributor to our ISO Quality System. This position in summary is a working supervisor / process technician and requires both physical and mental excellence.
